Fourth Annual Planting Party!
Change of plans:
Due to worries by BLS administration, I'm afraid I have to disinvite BLS students who have not graduated. Next year I will be clear with them well in advance and make arrangements to their satisfaction. Sorry!
At Mr. Huben’s House, 27 Winter Street, Arlington

And due to expected rain on Saturday, the party will be on SUNDAY.
At Mr. Huben’s House, 27 Winter Street, Arlington
SUNDAY June 26, 2011
10AM until we’re done.
Lunch and beverages (not just seltzer!) will be provided.
Come visit my garden and help plant my crop of 1000 seedlings in their new bed. Good food, good company, good garden viewing, good discussions and maybe some good fun. Bring a change of clothes if you might want to clean up before you go home.
This is not an official BLS, BLA or BPS activity. It is an independent opportunity to learn what gardening is all about.

All graduates and former BLA students are invited. You can bring a friend or invite yourself if I’ve forgotten to send you an invitation. Don't be shy!
Please try to let me know if you are coming (mike@huben.us or (781) 643-1534), and let me know if you have any dietary restrictions.
Directions:
Take the Red Line to Harvard Square or Porter Square, and then take the #77 bus up Massachusetts Avenue to Arlington. Get off at the Lake Street stop, opposite the Capitol Theatre. You’re at Winter Street! #27 is half way down the block, opposite the school. You can’t miss the garden.
Menu:
Schinkenfleckerl: an Austrian dish of noodles, ham and onions.
Lemon Pasta Primavera: many vegetables mixed with pasta in a lemon dressing.
A gigantic fruit salad.
Hotdogs and hamburgers.
Ice cream and cookies galore.
Anything else I whomp up.

My friend, Mark Moffett
Poison frogs, male strippers, and other hazards of nature photography
I've had some similar adventures in Ecuador. Almost as good a story. But Mark has this sort of adventure rather regularly.
